Zeguan Wang, PhD

Dr. Wang will join Harvard as a Rowland Fellow and Principal Investigator in July 2026. He received his B.S. in Applied Physics with honors from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), and his S.M. and Ph.D. in Media Arts and Sciences from MIT, where he was advised by Dr. Ed Boyden. His research focuses on developing optical and molecular neurotechnologies to map neuronal dynamics across the brain and applying these tools to uncover fundamental principles of brain function and neural computation. He received the Guo Moruo Scholarship (the highest honor at USTC), the Alana Fellowship, the McGovern Travel & Technology Award, the J. Douglas Tan Fellowship, and the Rowland Fellowship.
